On December 20, a seminar titled Global Health: Global Health Issues and HIV/AIDS Awareness was held in Room 111 of the International Education College. This seminar was jointly sponsored by Global Health Family (GHF) and Global Health Research Center (GHRC). A total of more than 40 people attended the conference, including Wu Bin, Dean of the International Education College, some teachers and overseas students from School of Public Health and College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The seminar focused on global health research methods, global health emergency and chronic disease prevention and control, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS prevention and control, etc. Professor Ren Ran gave a speech on "Global Health Challenge” and 7 overseas students from Pakistan, Eritrea, Tanzania, Burundi, Somalia, South Africa and Zambia delivered speeches on relevant topics respectively. In addition, they also broadcast videos of Introduction to Global Health Activities produced by Doctor Maria (a GHF member), and What Is Global Health? co-produced by Hashan (a GHF member) and Jazila( a student from Pakistan) after interviewing international students.
