Professor Suppawongsaid that Thai medicine is widely used for health and rehabilitation by ordinary people in Thailand, and shares a common concept with One Root of Medicine and Food. The College of Medicine of Mahidol University and the College of Computer Science have jointly achieved certain results in disease diagnosis through the use of big data, artificial intelligence, and other means. In the future,it ishoped to make active efforts for interdisciplinary cooperation between the two universities.
During his visit to theuniversity, Professor Suppawong also gave a lecture on "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Informatics" at the Engineering Center, outlining how to use social media data to predictoutbreak of infection during the epidemic and how to use AI/ML to identify the risk of disease outbreaks, and he also had a thorough discussion with the research group.
