Delegation from South Korea's Sungkyunkwan University Visited Our University

On May 15th, a delegation led by Professor Hyuk Byun, the Director of the Cross Media Research Institute at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, visited our university. Principal Zhao Jie attended the meeting, accompanied by Lu Wei, Dean of the International Education College (International Exchange and Cooperation Center), Zhang Yong, Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Arts, Liu Liwei, Vice Dean, and Zhao Xin, Vice Dean.



Zhao Jie welcomed Professor Hyuk Byun and his delegation on behalf of the university. He stated that the university has been committed to promoting the cross integration of medicine and art, and exploring innovative development in disciplines. He appreciated Professor Hyuk Byun's cross media research, which plays a positive role in the field of medical and health by utilizing more flexible media and methods, and hoped that both sides can deepen cooperation, promote the transformation and application of relevant research results, and cultivate more interdisciplinary and innovative talents.

Professor Hyuk Byun expressed gratitude to Zhao Jie for his reception and meeting. He introduced the construction and development of the Cross Media Research Institute at Sungkyunkwan University. He expressed great honor to have academic exchanges with the School of Arts, which would lay a solid foundation for the interdisciplinary development of medicine and art, and he also looked forward to promoting deeper exchanges between the two schools. Subsequently, Zhao Jie issued a guest professor appointment letter to Professor Hyuk Byun. Before the symposium, Professor Hyuk Byun participated in the "Art Therapy and Future Health" forum held by the School of Arts, delivered a report titled "New Trend in Digital Therapy: VR/AR/MR for Art Therapy", and reached an intention to exchange ideas with teachers and students at the School of Arts.
