Our University Held a Graduation Ceremony for the 2024 Graduates of Master of Public Health (MPH)

On June 14th, ouruniversity held a grand graduation ceremony for the 2024 graduates of Master of Public Health (MPH) degree education program which was organized in collaboration with Benedict University in the United States.112 graduates successfully obtained master's degrees from Benedictine University in the United States. Dr. Julie Dockery, Chief Diversity Officer of Benedictine University in the United States, Ms. Alyse Mommer, Commissioner for Asian Affairs, and Wang Xing, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of Shenyang Jianzhu University, attended the graduation ceremony. Sun Xiance, Dean of the School of Public Health, Dalian Medical University, Yu Yong, Secretary and Vice Dean of the general Party branch, Chen Xin, Vice Dean, and MPH project instructors and teaching supervision representatives attended the ceremony together. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Xin, Vice Dean of the School of Public Health.

At the graduation ceremony, Sun Xiance first delivered a speech. She encouraged the 2024 graduates to take today as a new starting point, aimingfor the highest, be down-to-earth, bravely face the challenges of life, embrace public healthcauseofthe country, pursue ideals, serve the people, and make greater contributions to the development of China's public health and the exchange of health services between China and the United States.

Dr. Julie Dockery, Chief Diversity Officer of Benedictine University in the United States, expressed her heartfelt message to graduates in her speech. She encouraged graduates to actively respond to global health challenges with their public health knowledge and skills. With a unique international perspective, strive to build a more inclusive and sustainable world.

Li Bo, theDirector of theNursingDepartment of Dalian Friendship Hospital and a graduate ofgrade2024, delivered a speech on behalf of all graduates. Afterwards, the graduates presented a plaque with the words "Zi Qi Xiang Yun" to their alma mater as a souvenir, andYu Yongreceived souvenirs on behalf of theuniversity. Subsequently, Dr. Dockery turned the tassel for the graduates, and Sun Xiance awarded graduation certificates to the graduates. Finally, the graduates and the teachers of their alma mater took photos together to commemorate this unforgettable moment.
