The 1st Receptor Meeting, Dalian, China, The Summit Forum for Constructing the Top Discipline in Basic Medicine & The 3rd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Medical Sciences
From October 27-29, The 1st Receptor Meeting, Dalian, China, The Summit Forum for Constructing the Top Discipline in Basic Medicine & The 3rd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Medical Sciences was held at Dalian Medical University (DMU). This event was sponsored by the Receptor and Signal Transduction Committee under the Chinese Association of Pathophysiology, and co-sponsored by DMU Medical Sciences Research Institute, DMU Discipline Construction Department, Dalian Key Laboratory for Nuclear Receptor and Major Metabolic Diseases, and DMU Center for Kidney Diseases. Over 40 well-known scholars and young experts were invited from home and abroad, which include Prof. Jan-Ake Gustafsson, a Member of Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, an Academician of Academy of Engineering, a Member of the American Academy of Sciences, Member and Former Chairman of the Nobel Prize Physiology and Medicine Committee; and Prof. Minghui-Zou, Vice President of the Scientific Research Sub-cooperation at Georgia State University; Prof. Zhang Youyi, President of Chinese Association of Pathophysiology and Prof. Chen Qi, Vice President of the Association; as well as members of national Thousand Talents Program, specially-appointed professor of The Yangtze River Scholar Program, Chief Scientist of Program 973, the experts enjoying State Council special allowance, and the winners of the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation. In addition, a dozen of our school experts in basic and clinical medicine were invited to deliver a speech at the meeting, which was also attended by nearly 500 people, including our teachers and students as well as people from other well-known universities and research institutes.
