The "cloud" international exchange meeting of China - Malaysia COVID - 19 integrated Chinese and western medicine prevention and treatment experience was successfully held

In order to summarize the epidemic prevention and control experience of COVID - 19 in different countries and regions, deeply elaborate the advantages and effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in anti-epidemic treatment, and further strengthen cooperation and exchanges, the Institute of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine/College of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, together with the Malaysian working group on Chinese and western medicine, jointly held the international conference on the prevention and treatment of Chinese and Malaysian COVID - 19 on the morning of April 19. At the meeting, Professor Shang Dong, Dean of Institute of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine/College of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Dalian Medical University, Vice Dean of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University, and Vice President of Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan, made a report entitled "Program and Experience Introduction of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in the Prevention and Treatment of COVID – 19 of Leishenshan Hospital ". At the end of the report, Shang Dong introduced the development of integrated Chinese and western medicine in our school to the experts from the Malaysian, hoping to strengthen the cooperation and exchanges between the two sides in the future work.

Chairman Zhang Jiaxuan , Chairman of Malaysia Alumni Association of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Deputy Director of the Chinese Medicine Expert Committee of the Malaysia-China Education Association, Director of Traditional and Complementary Medicine of National Cancer Centre of Ministry of Health in Malaysia, made a detailed introduction on the prevention and control of COVID - 19 in Malaysia in combination with the development of the epidemic in Malaysia and the hierarchical medical treatment plan.

Associate Professor Zheng Jianqiang Head of Malaysian anti-epidemic working group of traditional Chinese medicine, Director of Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the Chinese Medicine Research Center, Director of of the China-Malaysia Chinese Medicine Center in Malaysia, Deputy Director of the Chinese Medicine Expert Committee of the Malaysia-China Education Association, introduced the work of the Chinese medicine anti-epidemic team in Malaysia and the role of Chinese medicine in fighting against the epidemic.

After the thematic report, experts from the two sides held a warm and in-depth exchange and discussion in the form of question and answer on how to better play the role of traditional Chinese medicine in global epidemic prevention and control, how to add or subtract drugs based on the principle of "three factors" in traditional Chinese medicine according to the climate and regional characteristics of Malaysia, how to scientifically select traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in the treatment of severe cases of COVID-19 syndrome, and how to conduct traditional Chinese medicine psychological intervention in the treatment of COVID-19 patients as well as acupuncture and moxibustion treatment.
