Our School Participated in the "Dalian-Kobe Video Exchange Conference between Universities and Medical Experts"

On April 12th, Dalian Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Medical and New Industry Headquarters of Kobe, Japan, jointly hosted the "Dalian-Kobe Video Exchange Conference between Universities and Medical Experts". Professor Masato Fujisawa, President of Kobe University, Mr. Cong Ke, Director of Dalian Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Mr. Luo Zhongxuan, Assistant to the President of Dalian University of Technology, Ms. Shao Shujuan, Vice President of Dalian University of Technology, as well as leaders of affiliated hospitals of our school and related experts attended the meeting. The purpose of this video conference is to implement the practical cooperation between Dalian and Kobe in the field of life science and promote educational exchanges and medical cooperation between the universities in the two cities.

In the speech, Shao Shujuan said that it is of realistic and far-reaching significance for the two sides to promote cooperation through video conference as the world is jointly fighting against the epidemic, with the lives and safety of people of all countries under great threat and the global public health system facing severe tests. She also introduced the development history of our school, advantageous fields and the suggestions for cooperation with Kobe University.

Professor Fujisawa introduced the cooperation between Kobe University and the medical industry city of Kobe, which has carried out a series of leading level research and equipment development. The first operation using a Japanese-made surgical assistance robot was performed last year. He also hoped to promote cutting-edge medical technology and new international cooperation through the development of new cooperative relationships.
Afterward, experts from both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the use effect, cost, function development and operation observation of the surgical assistance robot.
