International Student of Our School was Awarded the Title of "Outstanding Representative of the World Health Organization" at the Asia Youth International Model United Nations 12th Edition

On August 12-15,theAsia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) 12th Edition was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mark Israel Igulu Mutebaka,an undergraduate student from Uganda majoring in clinical medicine taught in English from our school, participated in AYIMUN for the first time and was awarded the "Most Outstanding Representative of the World Health Organization". The Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) is a simulation of the operation and procedures of the United Nations General Assembly. Selected participants (ambitious young leaders from different countries) will represent specific countries, attend discussions at the model united nations conference, write high-quality articles on specific themes, and study issues of global importance.This simulated United Nations event received over 26,000 applications from around the world, and 434 people from 39 countries were ultimately selected. Mark, an undergraduate student of our school, stood out in the auditions and participated actively in all AYIMUN meetings as the South African representative of the World Health Organization and made an excellent presentation on the committee's theme "Building Resilience and Sustainability of Health Systems". He also led the drafting of the draft resolution, which was adopted by a majority vote of the Committee's representatives. At the closing plenary session of AYIMUN, Mark was awarded the title of "Most Outstanding Representative of the World Health Organization" by voting at the Asia Youth International Model United Nations 12th Edition.
