The 2023 Winter Graduation Ceremony for International Students and the Second Supervisor Conference of the University were Successfully Held

On the afternoon of January 3^rd, the 2023 winter graduation ceremony for international students and the second supervisor conference were held in the academic lecture hall on the first floor of the school library. More than 300 people attended the ceremony, including Zhao Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university, Shao Shujuan, Vice President, leaders of functional departments, representatives of international student teachers, teaching supervisors, international graduate supervisors, representatives of international student practical teaching bases, all faculty and staff of the International Education College, as well as representatives of friends and family members of graduates. The ceremony was presided over by Lu Wei, Dean of the International Education College.

 
Shao Shujuan delivered a speech on behalf of the university, warmly congratulating 67 international students from 21 countries on their successful completion of their studies and expressing her earnest expectations: "Uphold benevolence and benefit the world," to fulfill the glorious mission of being a doctor with benevolence; "Deep understanding and quick action", to enhance the exquisite skills;“Openness and exchange”，to promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. Subsequently, Lu Wei read out the "2023 Winter International Student Degree Award Decision", and President Zhao Jie turned the tassel and awarded graduation certificates to doctoral students, master's students and undergraduate graduates respectively.
Professor Yan Jinsong from the Second Affiliated Hospital delivered a speech as a teacher representative. He reviewed his own growth experience and encouraged graduates to uphold the beliefs of scholars and doctors, not afraid of challenges, courageously pursue, strive for excellence, and pass on the spirit of Dalian Medical University.
Mark, an international student majoring in clinical medicine, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. He expressed gratitude for the training provided by his alma mater and stated that he will continue to devote himself and inherit the spirit of the university as an alumnus of Dalian Medical University in the future. Subsequently, representatives of graduates presented flowers to the teacher representatives who worked hard to cultivate and guide them attentively. During the interval of graduation ceremony and supervisor conference, the graduates also performed carefully prepared programs to express their gratitude and respect to their alma mater.
At the second supervisor conference, Zhao Jie awarded academic degree international doctoral supervisor certificates to six professors including Mao Jingwei, and held an awarding ceremony for four international student practical teaching bases. Shao Shujuan issued a certificate to the representative of the 2023 Brand Courses for Studying Abroad in China.

Finally, all the teachers of the International Education College expressed their blessings to the graduates in a multilingual choir. The 2023 Winter Graduation Ceremony for International Students and the Second Supervisor Conference of the University came to an end in the melody of Friendship Lasts Forever.
Graduates have expressed that in the future, they will act as alumni of the Dalian Medical University, telling the stories of the Dalian Medical University and China well, serving as ambassadors for medical exchanges between China and foreign countries, and contributing their own strength to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind with their superb medical skills.
