Delegation from the Iranian Embassy in China Visited Our University

On July 3rd, Dr. Esmaeil Mehryar, Counselor of Science and Technology at the Iranian Embassy in China, visited ouruniversity. Shao Shujuan, member of the school's Party Committee and Vice President, attended the meeting, accompanied by Lu Wei, Dean of the International Education College (International Exchange and Cooperation Center), Guo Yanqiu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, and Gao Peng, Vice President.

Shao Shujuan, on behalf of the university, warmly welcomed the arrival of Dr. Esmaeil Mehryar. She introduced our university's international education and the basic situation of Iranian international students. She thanked the Iranian Embassy in China for becoming a bridge of communication between the school and Iranian students, and hoped to establish a more in-depth cooperative relationship with Iranian medical colleges in terms of teachers &studentsexchanges, scientific research cooperation, and other aspects in the future.

Esmaeil Mehryar stated that Dalian Medical University, as one of the 44 universities certified by the Chinese Ministry of Education and qualified to enroll undergraduate clinical medicine students (taught in English), has the highest number of Iranian international students among Chinese universities. The Iranian Embassy in China attaches great importance to this. This visit to the university aims to gain an on-site understanding of the students' living and learning conditions, as well as the advantages and characteristics of the university,hopingto introduce the university to more Iranian students and medical colleges, and provide higher quality Iranian international students for the university.

After the meeting, Dr. Esmaeil Mehryar visited the International Education College and had exchanges and discussions with relevant departments of the International Education College and Iranian international students.
