International Student Volunteers Light Up Dalian International Walking Festival

On May 16, the 24th Dalian InternationalWalking Festivalopened grandly at Xinghai Bay. The Red Cross Volunteer Service Team of the School of International Education was invited by Dalian Red Cross Society to participate in the event, adding an international flavor to the volunteer services of the festival.

Twenty Red Cross volunteers from 10 countries including Sri Lanka, Iran, Indonesia, Sudan, Benin and Zambia started from Xinghai Square and provided mobile first-aid services for Chinese and foreignwalkingenthusiasts.

During the event, the international student volunteer team won wide praise from Dalian citizens and hiking enthusiasts for their professional first-aid skills and fluent Chinese. Many citizens praised: “These international students speak fluent Chinese and have professional first-aid knowledge. The international students of Dalian Medical University are really amazing!”
