Delegation from Tashkent State Medical University, Uzbekistan visited our university

On June 18, an eight-member delegation of faculty fromTashkent State Medical University, Uzbekistanvisited our university. Representatives from the Office of Exchange and Cooperation and theInternational Education Collegeheld talks with the guests in Meeting Room 319 of theInternational Education College, engaging in in-depth discussions on topics including medical talent development, collaborative teaching models, and recruitment of international students. This visit represents a significant step forward in implementing China's initiatives for health cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization framework, laying a solid foundation for deepening mutual exchange in medical education between China and Uzbekistan and expanding collaboration opportunities in Central Asia.

During the symposium, our university introduced its internationalization effortsto the guests, highlighting keyadvantagesand comprehensive training systemsofour universityin international student education. We expressed our hope that this exchange would enhance mutual understanding and lay the groundwork for long-term cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as talent cultivation, teaching and research, and international student programs. TheInternational Education Collegethen provided detailed presentations on program offerings, admissions management, academic administration, and student services for international students. Faculty representatives from Uzbekistan shared insights into their country’s medical education system andAI-enabledforeign language instruction, actively expressingtheirintention to promotefaculty and student exchanges, joint teaching and research projects, and short-term clinical training programs.

During the visit, the delegationsuccessivelyvisited the Clinical Skills Center, Research Sharing Platform, andIntegrativeTraditional Chinese and Western Medicine Training Laboratory.The Uzbek faculty observed simulation diagnostic equipment, scientific research platforms,hands-on teaching environments in traditional Chinese medicine, and highly praised ourwell-developedpractical teaching system and the characteristic of integrating Chinese and Western medicine in education.
